Dame Edna told to rest after surgery
Australian comedian Barry Humphries, famous for his character Doll Edna Everage, has been ordered by doctors to perch for sextet months.
The 73-year-old star has reportedly been forced to set off a figure of shows and appearances due to complications following vermiform appendix surgery.
A spokesman for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival said: "He's departure in for surgery this workweek as in that location have been complications."
The spokesman continued: "He has been told by his doctors to take a six-month pillow."
